Items gathered for orphans in South Africa

Every year I do a "Christmas in July" for the orphans I support in South Africa.  However, in April, I am doing a humanitarian aid volunteer vacation to visit Sinethemba & Mpumelelo.  Thanks so much to those who have so generously donated to bring hope to needy children on the other side of the globe.

Christmas for our Valiant Heroes 2010

With the generous donations to "Mail Call for Our Heroes 2010" , the Fund Raiser at the Valley Tavern in Washington State, and extensive networking all over the world, the Sky Angel and Tigger were able to send these items to 8 different units in Iraq and Afghanistan for the holidays ... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE CONTRIBUTIONS TOWARDS THESE CARE PACKAGES, ONE AND ALL! 

South Africa, April 2011

This year my volunteer vacation was to Johannesburg, South Africa to visit the orphanages I've been supporting for years (Mpumelelo and Sinethemba).  These photos are of our adventure.  Thankfully my "niece", Amy Butler, was patient in me fulfilling a 9 year old promise ... and sharing in an adventure of a lifetime.
