for a few hours, I found myself\u00a0compelled to\u00a0take time to\u00a0THANK\u00a0those who have\u00a0given such tremendous support to me over the years, along with taking a moment to salute our service members.\u00a0 What started out as something\u00a0very small for me eight years ago, continues to grow with each passing day.\u00a0(Earlier this year I was dubbed &#8220;The Sky Angel&#8221; and found the necessity to start a web page with a blog.\u00a0 Tigger became my mascot and way of\u00a0honoring our troops in my travels.\u00a0 Whenever they see\u00a0him, they know I am saluting them.)\u00a0Although I\u00a0have learned a great deal, I truly believe God has a bigger plan for me, and I am open to whatever path He sets forth.\u00a0\u00a0What I feel inside is absolute gratitude for those individuals who sacrifice so very much on a\u00a0daily basis in order to keep me\u00a0safe, and protect my\u00a0freedoms.\u00a0 It is in that light, that\u00a0I\u00a0have had such a fantastic week in visiting with, and honoring them.<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000080\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><em> <\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: small\"><em>Please click on the link to read the\u00a0blog I wrote about visiting our Wounded Warriors at\u00a0the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland this past weekend.<span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"color: #a30000\"><strong><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.alwayssupportourheroes.com\/WordPress\/?p=268\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><em>http:\/\/www.alwayssupportourheroes.com\/WordPress\/?p=268<\/em><\/span><\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: small\"><em> <\/em><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000080\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><em> <\/em><\/span> <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: small\"><em>In reading\u00a0it\u00a0you I hope you see\u00a0how my week turned full circle by being invited as a guest by remind.org (Bob Woodruff&#8217;s Foundation) to the event &#8220;Stand Up For Heroes&#8221; in New York City on November\u00a03rd.\u00a0 The entire week has left me\u00a0full of energy, gratitude, and asking myself how\u00a0my life experiences will have the greatest impact for the greater good.\u00a0 My life\u00a0was forever changed by being interviewed a year ago by this inspirational man, and the stories of survival I have heard from our Wounded Warriors ever since.\u00a0\u00a0The greatest compliments I will ever receive were given to me by\u00a0Bob Woodruff\u00a0by naming me &#8220;Person of the Week&#8221; last October, and by Steve Flairty including me in his book &#8220;Kentucky&#8217;s Everyday Heroes 2&#8221; this past summer.<\/em><\/span><\/span> <span style=\"color: #000080\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/span> <span style=\"color: #000080\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: small\"><em>The\u00a0sky is the limit, but I know I could not get there without your prayers, donations, and encouragement.\u00a0 In all that I do, I pray I honor those brave and valiant heroes, because I truly hope none of them ever feel alone on the battlefield, or when they return home.\u00a0 If you or anyone you know wants to adopt a service member, please go to my website to learn how &#8230; Your level of\u00a0pride, devotion and gratitude match the overwhelming pride, devotion and gratitude I feel for this country and those who serve. I often tell the troops that I adopt that, even though we have never met before, they are my family and I love them and am so proud of them. <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"font-family: garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size: small\">When I saw you on ABC News as Person of the Week, I knew God had answered my prayers; I was raised in a military community and when we left that community, entering &#8220;typical civilian&#8221; life, I knew I had to stay connected to\u00a0&#8220;my&#8221; military some how because as many troops would tell you&#8230;. there is a great, unexplainable\u00a0difference between civilian and military friendships. <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"font-family: garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size: small\">So, I thank you for representing our country and those of us whose hearts beat with that\u00a0pride, devotion and gratitude mention\u00a0previously. You are representing us well. \u00a0I hope someday I too will be able to visit Wounded Warriors so, I can personally thank them&#8230; I so often long to hear their stories. <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"font-family: garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size: small\">It is frustrating to hear on the news or in my classroom, the everyday &#8220;concerns&#8221; about which celebrities\u00a0are getting divorced,\u00a0which state is wanting to legalize paraphernalia, and the list\u00a0goes on.\u00a0I listen to those daily &#8220;concerns&#8221; of\u00a0my classmates and I can not help but want to cry and shout in frustration because &#8220;how soon we forget.&#8221; So many of us go about our daily lives, taking for granted that each second someone is dying or becoming wounded\u00a0in order to save us and to make it possible for us to sit around discussing tomorrow&#8217;s fashion, tomorrow&#8217;s game, tomorrow&#8217;s\u00a0school day&#8230; we fail to realize that without God and without those serving in the Middle East, tomorrow\u00a0would not be so guaranteed. <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"font-size: small\"> <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"font-family: garamond, new york, times, serif;font-size: small\">So in closing I would like to ask you\u00a0if,\u00a0the next time you visit a Wounded Warrior or even a Non-Wounded Warrior, could you put in a word for me?\u00a0 Tell him\/her that I can not express my gratitude in words but that\u00a0my gratitude is evident through my\u00a0watery eyes\u00a0whenever I hear the National Anthem or\u00a0the sound of Taps or even when I see the flag flying at half-mass? Could you let them know\u00a0that I, and so many others like me, love them and are proud of them, please?
