The past month has been a whirlwind with the latest arrival to our family … my great nephew, Tyler ~~~\u00a0and me trying to find my way around the streets of Seattle again.\u00a0 It is so bizarre having the feeling of “everything is comfortable” to “everything is new” all in the same breath.\u00a0 Before I go any further, I just need to say that “I LOVE LIVING IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AGAIN”!!!<\/p>\n

I found this on the way to picking up a free Christmas tree off of freecycle.org for our troops overseas!!!<\/p><\/div>\n

Aside from\u00a0feeling like a complete dork, because I am having to learn how to drive a stick shift car on the hills after living in\u00a0FLAT places the past\u00a019 years, I\u00a0find\u00a0I am saying to myself “I am not lost, but I am definitely not where I want to be”.\u00a0 There have been so many times I have texted friends asking for directions from one place\u00a0to another, and I am so thankful they never seem to get impatient\u00a0with me.\u00a0 The other day I was on my way to my first accupuncture appointment, and I think it was the first time I\u00a0realized there is no longer a KingDome here.\u00a0 Instead there are two stadiums side by side.\u00a0 Isn’t that over kill???\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Aside from the obvious reasons\u00a0of being closer to my family and\u00a0friends, I have so many other reasons I am thankful to be back in the Pacific Northwest … one of which includes the medical profession.\u00a0 My frustration level has been through the roof\u00a0with my health the past six months.\u00a0 It seems crazy to me that I have been out of work for this long, and that I have had NO RELIEF from the pain\u00a0in and on my head.\u00a0\u00a0There has not been a day or night that has gone by in 180 days, where I have not felt like the weight of an elephant is lodged there.\u00a0 Along with that, came a plethora of doctors, and diagnosis.\u00a0 However, to date, I still don’t feel I have a proper diagnosis … and I simply got fed up with the medications being prescribed.<\/p>\n

SO, I found a\u00a0chiropractor who is trying to help me figure out exactly what is wrong.\u00a0 He referred me to an internal medicine doctor, in hopes that doctor could become my new Primary\u00a0Care Physician (for me, the jury is still out on that).\u00a0 However, this doctor listened to me … and put me on a detoxification diet this past week … AND took me off\u00a0ALL of my meds.\u00a0 YIPPEE!!!\u00a0\u00a0 ….\u00a0honestly, I have been in so much pain and yet I\u00a0never felt as though the pills were making a tremendous difference.\u00a0 I am happy to say that my\u00a0fears of becoming addicted to hydrocodone or\u00a0anything else were all for not.\u00a0 Going off the medications has been easy,\u00a0coping with the pain has not.\u00a0 It is rare to find a doctor who doesn’t want to pump me full of drugs … and I truly am seeking one who will help me get to the root cause, not treat the symptoms.<\/p>\n

at one point, I was on 13 medications a day ... that is just WRONG!!!!<\/p><\/div>\n

The best part about detoxifying is that I feel like I have control over my own body again.\u00a0 NOTHING is more important to me than me\u00a0keeping my\u00a0peace of mind that I am not going to have to live with this pain the rest of my life.\u00a0 NOTHING is more important to me than getting well and getting my life back.\u00a0 You see, I feel there is so much to be done in the world.\u00a0 There are orphaned children, abused animals, catastrophic events that require humanity coming together as one, troops that need to know they are remembered, and so much more …. I need to be Making A Difference on the ground, and in the sky .. it is in my blood.\u00a0 But I also came to understand THE VERY HARD WAY, that this is a time of balance for me.\u00a0 Where I had to learn I could not take on the world … and I had to teach others how to live their passions too.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

But for now, I guess I have to be content with knowing I am in God’s hands.\u00a0 That means He knows how much I yearn to be WELL …. and how many toxins really are in my body.\u00a0 Ironically He knows the people who were also toxic to my well being and removed them.\u00a0 The key is for me not to allow anyone or anything to creep back into my “space” or infiltrate my soul so that I have to be like “this” one second longer than necessary.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09\u00a0 HE knows what will bring me healing, and has a plan.\u00a0 I just wish right now, in the middle of yet another night when I cannot sleep because of the pain … that He would give me a little insight.\u00a0 In all of my frustration with feeling things are beyond my control …. I am thankful for that abilty to know things are right, and perfect, and exactly the way they are supposed to be.\u00a0 And when the time comes … I will be back in the skies and doing the job I love the most.<\/p>\n

Until then, I sure could use a prayer if you can spare one.<\/p>\n
