Once I\u00a0arrive in Port-au-Prince, I will be volunteering my time and energy to whatever is needed of me.\u00a0 I will also\u00a0take photos and tell you exactly what the conditions are on the ground, when I am able.\u00a0 Many of you have expressed concern about me making this trip.\u00a0 Please know I would not go if I did not feel safe.\u00a0 I trust Eric Klein and his\u00a0CAN-DO team\u00a0with my life.\u00a0\u00a0But most of all, I trust my faith .. and I trust my “gut”.\u00a0 This is something I have to do for mankind and for myself.\u00a0 I have to go do everything I can to help these poor, innocent victims, and bring them hope.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why don’t I know when I am returning? … It literally, it depends on donations\u00a0to cover hotel costs.\u00a0 For those of you who\u00a0have asked how\u00a0you can help …<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This morning I woke up with welts all over my arms, neck, and legs.\u00a0 Not really a new occurance for me .. I am allergic to SO MUCH STUFF.\u00a0 But along with whatever caused the allergic reaction, came a migraine.\u00a0 In an effort to battle both of those, the medication I took knocked me out.\u00a0 That caused me to miss the first flight out to meet my fellow volunteers.\u00a0 So I am heading that way now … with EpiPen in the suitcase.\u00a0 Along with Cipro and my “rubber duckies” … I think I am as prepared as prepared gets for a volunteer vacation like this!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

PS.\u00a0 Please take time to thank a service member or their loved ones today.\u00a0 The sacrifices they make daily, should be honored and revered.\u00a0 Although I am going to Haiti, rather than visiting and volunteering with the USO Wounded Warriors … I still need them to know I salute them … and they are remembered!\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n
