One of my co-workers wrote this fantastic poem and asked me to share it with all of you.\u00a0 Merry Christmas to each of you and may the New Year bring you precious memories of joy, peace, and laughter to last a lifetime.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Always,<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Robin<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

“The Sky Angel”<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

T’was the night before Christmas,
\nAnd all through the plane
\nMost were civil, but some seemed insane
\nWhile boarding they struggled till all bins were filled
\n“Cabin Secure” and the agent was thrilled
\nPre-departures in First Class were quickly downed
\nAnd, now we were ready to get off the ground
\nThe holiday demo brought laughs and smiles
\nWhile we, the Flight Attendants, stood in the aisles
\n“You must buckle up, but you CAN stay plugged in”…
\nWe reminded the passengers as they noticed our grin
\nTake off ensued and the service began
\nAnd everyone ordered their “vodka and cran”
\nThe holiday cheer was in full swing…
\nWhen all of a sudden, we heard “ding, ding”…
\nThe pilots, it seemed, had a special request
\nAnd we agreed to give it our best
\nThey told us all window shades had to be shut
\nSomething was outside, but they couldn’t say what
\nIt’s red with bells, they told us with fear
\nAnd it will alarm the passengers to see it so near!
\nSo, over the P.A. we made our plea…
\nToo late, it seemed, it wasn’t to be…
\nA squeal rang forth from a child whose face…
\nWas up against his window, frozen in place
\n“Mommy, Daddy, look what I see…
\nSanta Claus just winked at me!”
\nThose on devices didn’t notice a thing
\nBut the child who’d seen him started to sing…
\n“You better watch out, you better not cry…
\nYou better not pout, I’m telling you why…”
\nQuieted quickly by his Mom and his Dad,
\nThe pilots called back, but the connection was bad
\n“Tell the people to un-plug for a minute…
\nWe’ve gotten a message with some mystery in it!”
\nIt says our passenger list was wrong…
\nAnd, everyone needs to hear this song…
\nSomething about being naughty or nice
\nAnd he doesn’t want to check it twice
\nWe’ll call the S.O.C. and ask what’s this about?
\nWe might be re-scheduled, but please don’t pout…”
\n“Standby” they said, and we hung up our phones…
\nAnd continued to serve, hearing nothing but groans
\n“Unplug my device? Turn everything off?”
\n“What airline IS this?” they asked with a scoff
\n“Well, this is DELTA, the best in the sky”
\nEchoed the chorus of our simple reply
\nThe cabin was suddenly filled with light
\n“Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!”
\nThe voice from outside was heard by all,
\nAnd, the pilots didn’t need to complete that call!<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
