{"id":95,"date":"2010-04-25T21:50:25","date_gmt":"2010-04-26T03:50:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.alwayssupportourheroes.com\/WordPress\/?p=95"},"modified":"2010-04-25T22:05:16","modified_gmt":"2010-04-26T04:05:16","slug":"water-drops-and-hope","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alwayssupportourheroes.com\/?p=95","title":{"rendered":"Water drops .. and HOPE"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mceTemp\"><em><\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\"><em>My day started out at church, which was held in a large tent in the middle of a gated field.\u00a0 It was ironic the pastor said how appauled he was that the news telecasts that Haiti is a cursed nation.\u00a0 He talked about how much it was a testimony of\u00a0HOPE for the people here, to have volunteers come to make a difference.\u00a0 He talked about the places that Jesus went, and how they were blessed, not cursed (Like Jericho and Jerusalem).\u00a0 For those of you who don&#8217;t believe in God,\u00a0the point is\u00a0simple.\u00a0 The human spirit is so very resilient.<\/em><\/div>\n<p><em>Children cared more about getting their picture taken\u00a0and attention, than anything else.\u00a0 Adults hugged us and told us thank you in Creole and French for bringing them water.\u00a0 Speaking of water &#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We\u00a0delivered 9,000 gallons of water, to over 3,250 families, all of whom have\u00a0lives in tents or make shift housing since the earthquake.\u00a0\u00a0 It is disgusting that the government does not provide water to their own people.\u00a0 It is frustrating the government wants to cut off the food supply via donations.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Tomorrow I will tackle the issue with Customs about the Peace Packs again .. but for tonite .. it&#8217;s hopefully sweet dreams.\u00a0 My body is exhausted from the sun, the experiences, and the sadness\u00a0~~ mixed with absolute joy of knowing I made a difference today &#8230;
